What To Expect From A Home Pregnancy Test

Before we jumped into the health risks of radiation to pregnancy, let us get an overview what x-ray is all about.

X-ray is an examination being performed in order to analyze internal structures or organs of the body that is not visible with the eye. This is very helpful in diagnosing conditions that involve the internal parts of the body. X-ray is a light wave. It penetrates to the skin to capture images. Because it is a form of radiation, there are risks involved when performing the procedure as radiation can alter or change cells.
Strobe light in general replaced the costly and unreliable halogen lighting on emergency vehicles. LED Down lights is now the most popular form of light on any vehicle today so there are LED Lights Bulb units that can be fitted to vehicles, giving the benefit of the highly effective strobe with the high visibility and reliability of the LED light. If you live in an area of forest or out of the way, the emergency vehicles need the additional LED Strips Lights so they are seen on the roads, which are often isolated and dangerous

During pregnancy, the radiologist will place a lead shield to the abdomen to prevent radiation exposure. Yet if it is done to the arms or the legs, this might not be necessary as it is far from the reproductive system. However in some instances such as dental x-rays, some studies show that those pregnant women exposed to x-ray will have the probability of having a child with low birth weight as an effect. The amount of radiation emitted by the procedure has varying levels as different organs have different level of sensitivity to radiation. It is therefore suggested that x-ray should be as much as avoided when a woman is pregnant. As a medical practitioner, the doctor should be able to evaluate the necessity of conducting the procedure or if other alternatives could be chosen such as ultrasound or 4d scans.

Prenatal care is important in order to ensure a healthy baby and prevent pregnancy complications. If you are pregnant or you think that you might be pregnant, you should consider avoiding all sorts of x-ray if possible to lessen the risks of radiation exposure.
